Introducing the Updated 2018 Jeep Wrangler and 2019 Cherokee!

We’re not ones to predict the future for our Pittsburgh area drivers, but our projections indicate that 2018 will be a big year for those in search of a new Jeep model. Two of the automaker’s most popular vehicles—the iconic Wrangler and maverick Cherokee--have been updated, bringing new design elements and exciting features to bear. As two of the most capable models found in the Jeep brand portfolio, our adventurous and trailblazing types will have a lot to sink their teeth into!

The All-New 2018 Jeep Wrangler
The 2018 Wrangler will continue to carry the brand’s standard with a modernized—but no less recognizable—design that keeps with tradition. This includes the round headlights and keystone-shaped, seven-slotted grille, best-in-class ground clearance, break-over, and departure angles, and numerous roof and door configurations. But the rugged Wrangler’s feature roster has grown, too. The fourth generation Uconnect display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration on a 5, 7, or 8.4-inch screen, available 7-inch configurable digital TFT display, and up to 75 safety and security systems join the roster for 2018.

But capability is what makes a Jeep model what it is, and the 2018 Wrangler will drive with some legendary motivation. Among them is an all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with eTorque technology, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with engine stop-start, and the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, which arrives next year. The Command-Trac 4x4 system and Rock-Trac 4x4 systems return, with an available Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential for extra grip. And you guessed it—every 2018 Wrangler will be trail-rated!

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee
When it arrived in 2014, our Canonsburg and Bethel Park drivers met the current version of the Cherokee, and demand hasn’t stopped since. Offering a choice between four and six-cylinder engines, along with towing capability and off-road chops otherwise non-existent in the compact crossover class made it an instant hit. As an early Christmas present, the Jeep brand took the wraps off its redesign for 2019 (seen above).

Set for a public unveiling in January, the 2019 Cherokee fronts a face that splits the difference between its more maverick forebear and traditional Jeep brand styling. With new premium amenities, powertrain upgrades, and state-of-the-art features promised alongside its debut, we’re excited to learn more—including the ways it stacks up to the competition!

But it’ll be a while before the new model arrives at our Jeep brand dealership in McMurray, PA. That don’t let a bright future rob you of the chance to drive an exceptional SUV or crossover today. When it comes to the Jeep Cherokee vs. the competition, our local drivers find its capability and upscale features win out nearly every time.
