What's New for 2022?

The Jeep Cherokee rolls into the 2022 model year with a simplified trim lineup, including the recently introduced Cherokee X. This new trim level gets unique styling cues, a standard V6 engine, and a few off-road enhancements. All models now come standard with the previously optional 8.4-inch touchscreen. And the Latitude Lux gets upgrades like dual-zone automatic climate control, a household-style power outlet, and a digital gauge cluster display.

Performance and Capability for Pittsburgh Drivers

Choose any of the three available engine options and you'll get the performance you know and love from Jeep. The new engine is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, that features stop-start technology for improved efficiency and power. The standard engine is a 2.4L four-cylinder that combines efficiency and power, offering 180 horsepower. Next up is the mighty 3.2L V6 that can tow an impressive 4,500-pounds when equipped properly. Each of these engines is paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting and uninterrupted acceleration.

Interior and Technology

The new Jeep Cherokee features seating for five, with leg, head, and shoulder room to spare, to ensure that everyone will be able to ride in comfort. A total of 128 cubic feet of passenger volume surpasses many competitors in the class, so you and everyone you ride with will be cozy no matter how long the drive through Pittsburgh is.

Behind the second row, you'll get 25.8 cubic feet of cargo volume, that expands to a roomy 54.7 cubic feet when you fold the rear seats down. The rear seats also split in a 60/40 design for maximum versatility and carrying capability. You'll also get a storage compartment in the rear cargo area, to securely hold all of your belongings.

The standard 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen makes it easy for Pittsburgh drivers to find directions, listen to their favorite music, and stay connected while on the move.
